Day seven of my Twelve Films of Christmas countdown, and in 6th place is the brilliant:
Home Alone (1990)
I watch this movie every year a couple of days before Christmas while I’m wrapping presents and it never gets old.
It’s so good I honestly don’t get how anyone can prefer Home Alone 2! It’s a good sequel, but I watched it again recently and as much as I enjoyed it, I found it a bit too slapstick with a lot of the jokes from the first one recycled.
The original is not only a great film but it’s one of the best Christmas movies ever made in my opinion. Having said that, it’s one of the very few Christmas films I can watch any time of the year.
I won’t be watching the upcoming remake that’s for sure...
